The tour opened up a world of incredible artistic traditions in the midst of a verdant rustic setting that transform the understanding of simple and sustainable lifestyle of the weaving families. The tour led students to many dwellings of local weavers. The entire team was welcomed with a lot of joy and genuine warmth. The families gave a detailed tour of their houses, showing the various rooms where the threads were washed, coloured, dyed and processed; where looms are set etc. They showed many of their sample of works. The handloom products of Manibandha are very famous as tourists from across the globe visit and purchase the same. Even the products are exported to many cities of India and even abroad. This Industrial visit provided a detailed knowledge to the students about the fabric, process and design for which they will be highly grateful to the organizers

At Trytoon Academy, learning goes far beyond classroom lectures and digital presentations. Our commitment to hands-on education is reflected through carefully planned Industrial Visit programs that expose students to the real working environment of the fashion industry. One such enriching experience was the weaver village visit to Maniabandha, a historic handloom hub of Odisha, organized exclusively for our Fashion Design students. This visit became an unforgettable Case Study that connected theory with tradition, creativity with craftsmanship, and design education with cultural sustainability.

The Maniabandha weaver cluster visit was designed to help students understand the roots of Indian textiles while observing the process of handloom weaving at the grassroots level. Known for its exquisite ikat and traditional weaving techniques, Maniabandha village provided the perfect platform for students pursuing a Fashion design course to gain authentic exposure to textile creation. From yarn preparation to dyeing, loom setting, and final fabric production, students witnessed every stage of the weaving lifecycle in real time.

During this Industrial Visit, students interacted directly with skilled artisans who have preserved this craft for generations. These interactions transformed the visit into a practical case study, allowing learners to ask questions, document processes, and understand the challenges faced by rural weavers in the modern fashion industry. Such experiential learning plays a crucial role in shaping students enrolled in 1year fashion design, 2years fashion design course, and 4year fashion design course programs at Trytoon Academy.

The visit also supported curriculum objectives for students pursuing advanced qualifications such as the master diploma fashion design course and master degree fashion design course. Observing traditional handloom techniques helped them analyze how indigenous textiles can be adapted for contemporary fashion markets. Students explored how traditional fabrics can be incorporated into modern silhouettes, sustainable collections, and global fashion trends—skills essential for learners planning fashion design after graduation or enrolling in 2years fashion design courses after graduation.

What made this weaver cluster visit truly impactful was its relevance to real industry practices. Students learned how raw materials are sourced locally, how designs are passed through generations, and how production timelines differ from mechanized mills. This knowledge strengthened their understanding of ethical fashion and slow fashion movements—an essential component of modern fashion education offered by a fashion design degree college like Trytoon Academy.

As a top ranking fashion design college, Trytoon Academy believes that strong industry exposure is the foundation of successful design careers. The Maniabandha visit was not just an educational tour but a deeply immersive learning experience that sharpened observation skills, enhanced textile knowledge, and encouraged cultural respect among students. These experiences are especially valuable for those aiming to pursue a fashion design master degree after graduation or build sustainable fashion brands rooted in Indian craftsmanship.

The Industrial Visit also strengthened students’ portfolio development. Sketching motifs, documenting loom techniques, recording color palettes, and studying fabric textures became live classroom activities. Such exposure gives Trytoon Academy students an edge over others, reinforcing why the institute receives best reviews fashion design institute recognition from students and industry professionals alike.

Parents and aspirants searching for a reputed fashion design college often look beyond infrastructure and syllabus—they seek institutions that offer practical learning and industry relevance. Trytoon Academy stands apart by integrating weaver village visits, workshops, live projects, and industrial exposure into every Fashion design course. This approach ensures that students graduate not only with degrees but with confidence, clarity, and creativity.
